🐸👑♻️ Mentoring for Leaders: Support in the Plastics Industry

“Growth begins when you step out of your comfort zone.”

Entering a new industry, such as plastics processing and recycling, comes with many challenges. New processes, specialized terminology, and the specifics of the field require not only knowledge but also the support of someone who has walked this path before.

Rolbatch Academy Dr Magdalena Laabs - mentoring consulting technology plastics recycling

Who is my mentoring for?

As a mentor, I work with board members, business owners, and project leaders entering the plastics processing and recycling industry. These are individuals with experience in other sectors who need assistance in quickly understanding the specifics of this industry to effectively manage their projects or businesses.

I don’t call these people clients – they are my mentees, the individuals I guide on their professional development journey.

How does mentoring work?

“Knowledge is a tool, and conversation is the key to unlocking it.”

My mentoring is primarily based on one-on-one collaboration, tailored to your needs.

Online video conferences – the most common form of collaboration, flexible and adaptable to your schedule.

On-site meetings – for those who prefer direct interaction, I offer intensive sessions lasting 1, 2, or 3 days, during which we thoroughly address your challenges.

Support in urgent situations – if a pressing question arises, you can consult with me by phone, for instance, during a meeting with a business partner.

What do I offer as a mentor?

“The best teacher is someone who has already walked the path you are starting.”

My support includes:

➤ Explaining the specifics of the industry and technological processes.

➤ Helping you understand and master industry jargon so you can confidently communicate with your team and partners.

➤ Solving specific problems that arise during project implementation.

➤ Sharing practical experiences from over 200 technological lines that I have had the opportunity to launch.

Mentoring is a conversation – flexible and adapted to your needs. I always strive to find time to answer your questions or help in a specific situation.

Why should you consider mentoring?

“You don’t have to know all the answers – you just need to know who to ask.”

Mentoring provides:

➤ Faster onboarding into a new industry.

➤ Confidence in discussions with business partners and your team.

➤ Avoidance of mistakes that could slow down your progress.

➤ Practical knowledge that supports informed decision-making.

My goal is for you to gain not only knowledge but also confidence in your new role.

Mentoring: Your Step Toward Success

Mentoring isn’t about teaching – it’s about supporting and sharing experiences. Every conversation is an opportunity to broaden your perspective and find the best solutions to your challenges.

“Growth doesn’t happen by chance – it’s the result of consistent decisions.”

If you are entering the plastics industry and need a mentor to help you understand its specifics, I am here to support you whenever possible.
