From Family Passion to Experts in Plastics – Discover Rolbatch Academy
My journey with plastics began in childhood when my father, Ryszard – a mechanical engineer and inventor – inspired me with his passion for this industry. He would wake me up at 6:00 AM, even on Sundays, to talk about technological processes and methods of producing plastic products. From a young age, he instilled in me a curiosity and love for innovation, machines, and industrial processes.
Although my mother operated extrusion machines skillfully, she did not share the same enthusiasm for technology as my father. It was his dedication and determination that laid the foundation for my professional journey, which today allows me to share my knowledge with others through Rolbatch Academy.
Why Did I Create Rolbatch Academy?
When I started working in the industry, access to practical materials on plastics and recycling was extremely limited. Most available resources focused on complex chemical formulas and theory, which – while valuable to researchers – were not useful for practitioners.
I realized that to develop this industry and support specialists, there was a need for practical training based on real-life projects and production experiences.
Initially, I trained my own employees and later, employees at my clients' companies, usually during production line commissioning. We rented venues in various cities and organized in-person training sessions.
We conducted many training sessions in our company and held numerous webinars tailored to specific companies. Later, modern technology enabled us to digitize these training sessions and prepare them in 14 languages.
Why? I am learning 6 languages myself, and I know from experience that when it comes to technical topics, you need to speak to people in their own language.
Rolbatch Academy Focuses on Simplicity and Quality
Rolbatch Academy was created to:
➤ Make knowledge simple and understandable – no chemical formulas, just step-by-step explanations.
➤ Combine theory with practice – using visual materials like videos and photos, we show real production cases.
➤ Help companies and employees achieve more – optimizing processes, reducing waste, and introducing sustainable technologies.
From Law Studies to Plastics Processing
Although my path initially led me in a different direction – I studied commercial law and worked in a law firm – I quickly realized that my true calling was the plastics and recycling industry.
I returned to my family business and fully immersed myself in this field. Today, with over 20 years of experience, I can support professionals worldwide.
I have visited 35 countries across several continents, many of them multiple times. During each trip, I observe how different countries approach recycling and plastics processing. Often, I find inspiration in innovations that I later implement in Europe.
What Does Rolbatch Academy Offer?
Our training is more than just knowledge – it’s about practical tools that help participants achieve better results in their work.
For technical employees:
➤ Learning how to operate machines (extruders, injection molding machines, recycling lines).
➤ Solving production problems and optimizing processes.
For sales and management teams:
➤ Explaining technology and material properties in an accessible way.
➤ Building competence in customer service and strategic decision-making.
Our Practical Approach
During our courses, you will learn:
➤ How to differentiate between granules, regranulates, agglomerates, dryblends, monoconcentrates, and masterbatches.
➤ What parameters mean, such as melt flow index (MFI, MFR, MVR), density, and moisture.
➤ How to operate and optimize processes in processing machines.
We don’t stop at theory – we demonstrate everything with photos and videos, ensuring a better understanding of the discussed topics.
📅 Upcoming Free Webinars
We regularly organize free webinars on topics such as recycling and testing plastic properties. Visit our page to learn about upcoming webinars.
Topics for upcoming webinars:
- Melt Flow Index (MFI) – what it means and why it is crucial in plastics processing (ISO 1133).
- Recycling Plastics – challenges and opportunities.
- Microplastics – their impact on the environment, human health, and strategies to limit their emissions.
